Skills shortages in South Africa book launch

HSRC Press
Date : 02 December 2009
Time : 16:00 - 18:30

After 15 years of implementing a bold new education and training strategies to enhance learning at work and realise a more equitable and just society, there is a growing realisation that it is time to pause and systematically investigate what works, what doesn't and why. It is time to turn work and lifelong learning inside out in order to re-examine understandings of work, knowledge and learning.

You are invited to engage in a public dialogue based on two very recently published HSRC Press books on Skills shortages in South Africa: Case studies of key professions co-edited by Johan Erasmus and Mignonne Breier, and Learning/Work: Turning work and lifelong learning inside out co-edited by Linda Cooper and Shirley Walters.

Venue: ARC Conference Centre, 1134 Park Street, Hatfield, Pretoria

RSVP to Shaun Stuart at mailto:publishing@hsrc or call +27 (0)21 466 8002

Everyone is welcome to attend and refreshments will be served.
