The overall purpose of the Fatherhood Seminar is to educate and raise public awareness about the importance of Fathering in families, communities, and society and, in turn, to mobilize fathers / men to be positive role models by showing care and support to children. This is not a seasonal campaign; it is a long-lasting one set to continue until a strong, supporting culture of care is achieved in families, communities and society.

This monthly meeting is one of several activities organised by the Human Sciences Research Council. The aim is to encourage young researchers to think critically and debate important social issues. During the month of April the Fatherhood Project chaired the session, with a focus on the “role of the father”.
