The OECD is a respected international body and their March 2007 report on SA's NSI remains relevant. The NSI is a loose term describing the network of interacting public and private organisations in countries with a specific focus on nurturing and developing science and technology. The NSI forms a cornerstone of the knowledge economy and is seen as pivotal to accelerate development.

Please join us for a stimulating discussion and insight into whether the NSI is moving in the right direction, and to reflect on whether we as the HSRC are engaging the policy environment on pertinent innovation issues, ensuring the relevance of our research in this area.
