Rights = Responsibilities Protect children from HIV Join us and our partner, the Nelson Mandela Foundation's 46664, in the AIDS awareness campaign when we commemorate the 21st World AIDS Day. We would like to add our voices to the many institutions and organisations worldwide that are working to ensure that human rights are respected and promoted in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Through this seminar, we hope to focus particularly on children and marginalised groups infected and affected. The Office of the CEO at the HSRC, in conjunction with 46664, is using the opportunity presented by World AIDS Day to participate in the ongoing Mandela Day campaign to create positive change in our communities. The Mandela Day campaign calls upon each of us to take personal responsibility to care for others and uplift our communities. Our actions as individuals and organisations will over time transform our society and ultimately create a global movement for good. The 46664 and the HSRC believe that change is possible and that "it's in our hands" to do what needs to be done. This World AIDS Day, we choose to start with the most vulnerable sector of our society - children affected by HIV/AIDS. Presentations for the day are: Getting it right for children, presented by Professor Linda Richter, Executive Director of Child, Youth, Family and Social Development at the Human Sciences Research Council
