Following ongoing collaboration on the HSRC's FIFA 2010 World Cup Research Project, the Urban, Rural and Economic Development (URED) research programme, the Wits Centre for Urban and Built Environment Studies (CUBES) and the Wits Institute for Social and Economic Research (WISER) co-hosted the 2010: Alternative Voices Colloquium on 7 November 2007. The previous two-day symposium, titled 2010 And the Life of the City, was held in September 2006. The CUBES website has a dedicated page on the 2006 symposium. All presentations delivered at the event, can be downloaded from this site.
