Comparing South African performance TIMSS 1999 to TIMSS 2003

South Africa participated in TIMSS 1999. The scores gained in TIMSS 1999 and TIMSS 2003 is not statistically significantly different.

The learners took the test in November 2002 and this cohort of grade 8 learners experienced Curriculum 2005. Curriculum 2005 was taught to grade 8 learners for the first time 2001.
