Joan Roodt is a chief researcher in the ESD research programme at the HSRC. She holds an MPhil in Communication Management from the University of Pretoria. She has extensive experience in labour market research which includes the demand for and supply of human resources, self-employment, remuneration and skills analysis.
She has been involved in projects relating to trends and future workforce needs in various economic sectors. Her research studies encompass the analysis of employment demand, formal and private higher education supply, including learnerships and apprenticeships. She was also part of an international global innovation network research team.
Her research outputs span client reports, journal articles, book chapters, career guides and conference presentations. |
