PYEI: Socio-behavioural change through community engagement
On 15 October 2020, President Cyril Ramaphosa unveiled a comprehensive infrastructure, jobs plan in parliament.
After Covid-19 hit, South Africa will roll out a big infrastructure spending programme and large-scale employment stimulus to revive an economy that was ailing even before the coronavirus crisis, Government will unlock more than R1-trillion rand in infrastructure investment over the next four years and create more than 800 000 jobs in the immediate term.
The HSRC is participating in the Presidential Youth Employment Intervention (PYEI) through a project entitled From data to action: a social compact for socio-behavioural change through community engagement.
