High-level objective:
To promote and help implement the stated values and mandated objectives of the HSRC.
In practice:
- To support the CEO and DCEO: Research in the context of research coordination and planning across the HSRC
- To provide institutional support for the responsible conduct of research, with particular reference to research ethics, research integrity and research quality support

- Research planning within HSRC
- Intra-HSRC coordination and collaboration
- “Pro-active performance reporting”: Research Programmes
- Coordinated responses to requests or assignments
