Gauteng has made significant progress in the war against HIV-Aids, Premier David Makhura said during World Aids Day celebrations held jointly by the Gauteng Provincial Government and City of Johannesburg at the Johannesburg City Hall on Monday 1 December.
The premier said, however, that although the province was beginning to win the war against the epidemic, it was important for everyone to guard against complacency and not to fall into a false sense of security. “We cannot let our guards down, and this goes for all our people,” Makhura told throngs of people who attended the event.
