As we grow older we reach a point in our lives when our minds start playing tricks on us, and we begin to believe that life was better in “the good old days”.

Our increasing sense of alienation in a postmodern world makes us not only nostalgic but inflexible. This seems to have happened to our president as he continues to make public statements about how things used to be when life was simpler and better.
