The Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC), South Africa's statutory research agency, conducts research that generates critical and independent knowledge relative to all aspects of human and social development.
The HSRC provides access to Research Outputs created by HSRC researchers since 2000.

The HSRC conducts large-scale, policy-relevant, social-scientific projects for public-sector users, non-governmental organisations and international development agencies.
The HSRC has been awarded an independently verified Level 3 BBBEE (Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment) rating. This means that South African institutions procuring services from the HSRC, and wishing to measure their levels of compliance with the Codes of Good Practice Procurement Scorecard, can recognise 110% of their investment in HSRC work as being BEE expenditure.
