Five members of the bloc aim to re-examine development and shift the world's power balance
South Africa hosted the fifth Brics Summit last week at the Durban International Convention Centre. This completes the first cycle of Brics.
These summits, in addition to other intervening ministerial and official meetings, are convened to seek common ground and opportunities for co-operation between the influential economies of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.
