ARTS, CULTURE AND HERITAGE: 

RETHINKING, REMAKING AND REBUILDING AFRICA

Organised jointly by the Africa Institute of South Africa in the Human Sciences Research Council and Tshwane University of Technology, in collaboration with the African World Heritage Fund. Hosted by the Faculty of Arts and Design, Tshwane University of Technology

Pretoria, South Africa – March 2022

Discuss and debate burning issues related to arts, culture and heritage on the African continent, explore poetry, dance and music, listen to and engage in conversations with creative people working in the sector across the continent.

Submit your abstract or creative output proposal and be part of an international gathering of emerging scholars, in person or virtually.

Check the guidelines for submissions and send your research and creative work proposals to Olga Bialostocka at OBialostocka@hsrc.ac.za & Pfunzo Sidogi at arebueng@tut.ac.za by the 30th of November 2021

We specifically encourage innovative forms of research and creative forms of expression such as small exhibitions, mini fashion shows, designs, videos, performances etc. related to the conference theme. A book publication opportunity will be communicated to the shortlisted paper presenters.
