Public perceptions of biotechnology have increased over time
Public Perceptions of Biotechnology in South Africa a report produced by the HSRC, was released today by the Department of Science and Technology. The key finding is that although public perceptions have increased over time, there is still work to be done.
The report was conducted by the Education and Skills Development unit of the HSRC and was authored by Dr Michael Gastrow, Ben Roberts, Dr Vijay Reddy and Shameelah Ismail on behalf of the Public Understanding of Biotechnology Programme of the South African Agency for Science and Technology Advancement (SAASTA).
