Recent HSRC Press titles include seminal works
Recent publications from HSRC Press up to March 2015 include the very seminal Congress Movement (in three volumes) and Ethical Quandaries in Research, Rogue State and Beyond Benchmarks (TIMSS Report).
HSRC Press publishing director Jeremy Wightman says, "Top-sellers from the last financial year were State of the Nation 2014 (we sold out in six months, testimony to this significant HSRC brand), Drinking with Ghosts and Voices of Liberation: Frantz Fanon. Three special editions of the SABSSM report were published, including an online edition, and hard copies of the survey report were even sold into the market (a first for us), as far afield as the US, even though this important research report was fully available on open access."
HSRC Press had over 23 000 downloads across 200 countries and 200 000 page views of its books on open access.
"There were some quite landmark publications in our last year, and we have an equally interesting and dynamic line-up for 2015,"adds Wightman.
"Thank you all for your support and for together helping to make sure that HSRC Press books are distinctive, relevant and take African-led research to the world."
