Two milestones for HSRC researcher

Leading researcher Dr Liezille Jacobs has added two major achievements to her impressive resumé for her research, among other notable accomplishments, in the area of alcohol dependence among women who are pregnant and those who are not.

Jacobs' dedication to her work was recognised by the Mail & Guardian panel of judges, who chose her as one of their 200 young South Africans to look out for.

Her extensive research in the area of alcohol dependence among pregnant women and those that are not, contributed to her work being recognised. 

In addition , Jacobs has also been selected as a finalist for the 2013 Most Influential Women in Business and Government Awards.

Jacobs earned the selection nod for the contribution she has made in her industry and the positive impact her work has had on South Africa.
