Research Ethics Commitee (REC) Approval Process

The HSRC Research Ethics Committee (REC) ensures that professional ethics are followed in the gathering, processing and disseminating of HSRC research information. It oversees all HSRC activities through which research information and data are gathered, processed and disseminated, for example surveys and interviews and the reporting of research findings.

There are guidelines that need to be followed when minors including and vulnerable children a part of a research project. Guidelines for research with minors  

In case of adverse events, this form must be be filled and returned to the HSRC REC administrator. Adverse events notification form
